- Textbook: Principle of Mathematical Analysis, 3rd Ed., by Walter Rudin. (Note: this is an accelerated section; chapters 5,9,6 and 7 of Rudin are covered.)

General Policy: The course grade is based on homeworks, two midterms and a final exam.
Homeworks: There will be 8-9 weekly homework assignments. You should feel free to work on homework together, but you must write up your solutions independently. Homeworks papers are collected at the beginning of class on TBA unless otherwise stated. Late homeworks are NOT accepted.
Exams: There are two midterms and a final exam. Those exams are closed book; No textbook, notes, calculators or cell phones. No make-up exams.

Important notice on final exam: It is the policy of the Department of Mathematics that the following rules apply to final exams in all undergraduate mathematical courses:
- The final exam must occur at the time and place designed on the College Final Exam Schedule. In particular, no final examinations may be given during the tenth week of the quarter, except in the case of graduating seniors.
