General Policy: The course grade is based on homeworks, two midterms and a final exam.
Homeworks: There will be 9 weekly homework assignments and 8 heighest scores will be calculated to the final homework grade (i.e. one lowest score will be dropped). You should feel free to work on homework together, but you must write up your solutions independently. Homeworks papers are collected at the beginning of class on Fridays unless otherwise stated. Late homeworks are not accepted.
Exams: For the two midterms and the final, you may bring one ordinary sized sheet of paper with formulas you need. Apart from this one sheet, the exams are closed book: No textbook, notes, calculators or cell phones. No make-up exams.
